The Word of Wisdom is not the wisdom that we ask for in our dally affairs of life. There is wisdom for that and we find it in Joshua 1:8
Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
James 1:5 (KJV)
5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Excerpt from “The Holy Spirit and His Gifts Study Course” by Kenneth E. Hagin:
“The Word of Wisdom is a supernatural revelation by the Spirit of God concerning the divine purpose and plan in the mind and will of God. The Word of Wisdom is the best gift because it is a revelation concerning the plans and the purposes in the mind of God.
"The difference between the two gifts — the Word of Knowledge and the Word of Wisdom — is that the revelation the Word of Knowledge brings is always present tense or concerning something that has happened in the past. On the other hand, the Word of Wisdom always speaks of the future.”
So a Word of Knowledge speaks out things that have happened in past that are affecting what’s going on in the present. A Word of Wisdom speaks on the things that are going on today that are affecting your future and are spoken to us through the Spirit of God.
Father, we are looking for direction from You through the spirit that lines up with Your Word spoken through the Scriptures. In Jesus's name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
