I good pastor friend of mine, Dr Larry Ollison, writes an article called “The Cutting Edge." Listen to what he had to say in yesterday's message titled “Unconditional Belief Produces Miracles.”
“I once asked a Christian man if he believed a certain verse in the Bible. To my surprise, he commented that he would have to read it first and let me know later. Isn’t that amazing? Why would a Christian have to read a verse before deciding whether or not he believed it?
"God’s word is true. Not just a verse of it, not just a chapter, not just a book, but all of it -- the whole Bible is true. Yet, we must believe God’s Word and act on it in order for it to be effective in our lives.”
John 14:6 (KJV)
6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Whether you understand this verse or not does not make it false. No one, let me repeat that again, no one, this means no man or no woman, comes to the Father, but by Him. (We are talkin' about Jesus here) AMEN!
Hearing the Word gives you the faith to receive a miracle. I’m looking for a miracle how about you? So if God’s Word is true, then you can believe that you can "do greater works then these" because that’s what it says in His Word! Praise God!
Father, I pray that as You show us that You mean what You say, and You say what You mean, we'll finally get it. Thank You for giving us greater understanding when we read Your Word. Help us to find that "Unconditional Belief that Produces Miracles.” Forgive us for not believing what it says in Your Word. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
