John 8:31–32 (KJV)
31 "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
We know there’s power in the name of Jesus. When Peter and John were standing in front of the lame man in Acts Chapter 3, they said to him, “In the name of Jesus, rise and walk.” I may not have been there on that day, but I can see that man jumping up and leaping as he was totally healed in the name of Jesus!
The Word says Peter looked out at the crowd and asked them why they were so amazed. “It’s not us. It’s the power in the name.” Then Peter went on to preach faith in the name of Jesus because he wanted them to know that it was Jesus who had given this man strength and had made him whole.
Testimony: We were in the lower market in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, praying for the sick. One woman was blind with cataracts. Her eyes looked like mirrors of gray color. In the Word of God it says believers shall lay their hands on the sick and they shall recover. So we prayed for her, and moved on down the line. I was a few feet away from her when I heard a man shouting, "I’m healed!"
He was standing behind the blind woman dancing and jumping up and down shouting that God had opened up his ear. No body even prayed for him. The blind woman rubbed her eyes and gray matter ran down her checks, and her eyes were perfectly healed. My brother, Dane, saw the whole thing and said that he was amazed.
Father, thank You for the power of Your Word and the power in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
