Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
3 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in the Lord"
I’m sitting at a friend's house in Illinois trying to get my thoughts together for this devotion. I remember Keith back home asking me what had happened to us in the meeting with Rev. Round-tree at that little Pentecost church in Missouri.
So for today I will attempt to give you what my twin brother would say, “Here’s the rest of the story.”
After standing out in the rain for several hours waiting for the rest of our family to come outside, I had plenty of time to try to digest what had just taken place. I could not wrap my head around it, and for years that image stayed with me.
Psalm 139:6-8 (KJV)
6 "Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
7 "Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 "If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there."
I keep running into God's presence at every turn. I surrendered my life to him, and my wife and brothers are serving the Lord to this day. Praise God!
Father, it has been an awesome journey so far, and I am grateful for Your continual love for us. I pray for Your guidance through the twists and turns that life has thrown my way. I will praise Your name forever, Amen and amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
