Isaiah 26:3-4 (KJV)
3 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 "Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:"
Wow, what a promise! Perfect peace! The following notes were taken from the Blue Book Bible:
“In Hebrew, the term perfect peace is "shalom shalom." This shows how in Hebrew, repetition communicates intensity. It isn't just shalom; it is shalom shalom, perfect peace.
"There is a perfect peace that the Lord will keep us in. Whose mind is stayed on You: This is the place of perfect peace, and the source of it. When we keep our minds stayed - settled upon, established upon - the LORD Himself, then we can be kept in this perfect peace.
"We are to love the LORD our God with all of our mind (Matthew 22:37).
"We are transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2).
"We can have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16, Philippians 2:5).
"We are not to set our mind on earthly things (Philippians 3:19), but to set our mind on things above (Colossians 3:2).
"The Christian life is not an unthinking life of just doing, or experiencing, but it is also about thinking, and where we set our mind is essential in our walk before the LORD.”
Father, I set my mind and stand fast on you. As You establish my peace it sustains me in that perfect place of peace. I roll over on You all the cares that try to pull me down out of this peace that You promise us in Your Word. I will give no place to the enemy’s attempts to distract me from You. Because I trust in You, my Lord and Savior, I keep my mind stayed on You. In Jesus's name I pray, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
