Finishing Your Race

Acts 20:24 (ESV)

24 "But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

Testimony: We had such an encouraging outreach at the Indianapolis 500 this year. Fifty-three friends met us there to reach out into the community with the love of Jesus Christ. Some were apprehensive, not knowing what to expect, but faced the task at hand with boldness and the assurance that they can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. Praise God!

Fred Bishop, founder of No Greater Love Ministries, came and spoke into our lives with where he got started to where we are now. It was great to see Fred there and he encouraged us all to run the race and cross the finish line.

Lives were changed as they heard the Gospel compelling them to come into the kingdom of God. I heard this comment spoken to us numerous times by the crowds of people passing by us, “Thank you for being here. We were not sure you were coming back this year. We are so glad you did!”     

We did not receive anyone cussing us out that I know of, which is not the norm for these kinds of outreaches. Ha ha! The whole team seemed to be encouraged as the Holy Spirit directed them through the battle.

Thank You, Father, for faithful friends to walk along side of us. In Jesus's name, Amen.
