The Bible says in Proverbs 2:1-5 (ESV):
"My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments... if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures; then you will... find the knowledge of God."
When I look at the Word of God, I’m looking for those hidden treasures that give me direction for what adventure we may be on at the moment. We will be going to St. Louis, Missouri on the Fourth of July to search for those people God considers to be precious jewels.
Last year we were not able to make our annual trip there because of the Covid scare. This year they have opened it back up, and I’m excited about getting to go on another great adventure. If we approach the Word of God like looking for hidden treasure, we will gain total access to the knowledge or riches that God has for us and those hidden treasures will be found. Praise God!
The schedule for the event is being put in place, and we need to gather up our instructions for the targeted areas for this event. One year the Lord spoke to my heart and said, "Don’t go over on the other side of the river looking for a notch to put on your gun like a trophy. But go over there and look for that friend that you haven’t met yet." I heard the Lord loud and clear on that one. Keep us in your prayers please as we step into the waters, and wade out a little bit deeper.
Father, I pray for all of those that will be coming from different areas of the country to help us reach out to a hurting world. I pray that they will find the wealth of Your word as they search for You in them. You have not hidden Your secrets from Your children but the world cannot comprehend them. Open our eyes that we might see, and our ears that we might hear clearly, so that we execute Your plan of action with precision. In Jesus's name I pray, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
