Ephesians 2:4-7 (KJV)
4 "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 "Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved);
6 "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 "That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus."
Wow; what an introduction to being saved by grace through faith! I was watching a message tonight on this passage of scripture, and it stirred me up knowing that God is rich in mercy toward me. The term "rich" means: “One who is rich has a whole lot of something." In God's case, He has a whole lot of mercy. He is merciful; literally, "mercy-full."
Have you ever been in a desperate situation and realized that God has more than enough mercy to cover you no mater what?
PRAYER: Thank You, Father, for Your great mercy that transforms us, for Your grace is a gift. In Jesus's name we pray, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
