Luke 4:16-19 (KJV)
16 "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17 "And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 "To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
If only we could have peaked behind the curtain of the Spiritual Realm right at that very moment -- when the light of God's Word pierced through the atmosphere and exploded into the kingdom of darkness.
I can almost hear God saying to the darkness, "I’m going to preach the gospel to the poor. I’m going to preach to those that are deprived or powerless, and give them a vision, and fill them with hope." This hope, the God-kind of hope, is one that is filled with expectation, not wishful thinking.
Thank You, Father, for healing the brokenhearted today. Thank You for this new life that I have now. Help me to live that life pleasing to You. In Jesus's name I pray, Amen, and amen.
Blessing on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
